Central Students Qualify for National DECA Competition

Recently, students from Central's DECA organization competed at the New Hampshire State DECA Conference. With 21 students competing, 12 placed in the top 3 for their competitive events and 4 of these students are first-year DECA students. All are going to the DECA National Conference in Nashville, TN from April 23rd to April 27th.
For role plays, the following students qualified for the National competition.
Quick Serve Restaurant Management - Karah Marshall (2nd place) and Jakiea Williams (3rd place)
Marketing Management - Liam O'Connell (2nd place)
Business Finance Services - Chris Whittle (3rd place)
Hospitality Services Management team role play - Hannah McGrath & Grace Kiritsy (2nd place)
Sports & Entertainment Management team role play - Aidan Ryan & Bowen Bilodeau (3rd place)
For written projects,
Innovation Plan: The Innovation Plan Event involves the idea generation and opportunity recognition needed to take advantage of market opportunities to introduce a new business, product or service.

Professional Selling: The Professional Selling event is an opportunity for the students to demonstrate the skills needed for a career in sales and/or consulting. Students assumed the role of a sales rep of a website development firm.
Jen Nelson (2nd place)
Public Relations Project: The Public Relations project provides the students with the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skill needed in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating a single public relations campaign.
