Earlier this month, graduate students studying Neuroscience at Dartmouth College visited with some of Central High School’s Anatomy & Physiology and Biology students. Central’s students learned about the parts of the brain and nervous system and how they control the body. The Dartmouth students discussed the research they were completing and how their work may someday help us better understand Autism, Parkinson’s Disease, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and how electrical signals travel to and from the brain. Students were able to touch a real human brain and even had the opportunity to control a friends muscles with their mind!
