On March 25 - 26, 2016, the Central High FIRST Robotics Club #131, CHAOS, competed in the highly competitive New England District competition at the Whittemore Areana at UNH in Durham.  Forty teams from around New England took part. Central spent most of the weekend as one of the top 10 seeds and after 12 matches, seeded 4th.

The team strengths included climbing over most of the different defenses, shooting high and low “boulders” into the castle, and good driving. In the elimination rounds, CHAOS selected the West/Goffstown team and the Gilford, NH team as alliance partners. After having two great matches in the quarter finals, damage to the robot doomed the team in the semi-finals against the #2 seed and CHAOS lost in the two-out-of-three series.

Due to the damage to the robot and very limited repair time which is limited by the rules, the team elected not to attended the District Championship in Hartford in April. CHAOS is now looking forward to scheduling the serious repairs and competing in several off-season events.
