On Wednesday, October 18, the Central High School Chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed new members into its ranks at the Fall Induction Ceremony. Held in the Atrium of the Central Library, the NHS officers: President Declan Knieriem; Vice President Andy Vo, Secretary; Abby Radwanski; and Treasurer Nickolas Gardner, accompanied by advisor Kathleen Mirabile and Principal John Vaccarezza, presented the new inductees and their families with a short summation of the core principles of NHS.  After a brief introduction by the NHS president, the officers reviewed the core standards of NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character to candidates, after which they completed the traditional candle lighting to symbolize each value.

The new inductees were all seniors and are now full members, with all honors and privileges, of the National Honor Society. They will now join their fellow members and Mrs. Mirabile in conducting community service projects throughout the year to benefit the Manchester community. They will strive to uphold the four core ideals and impress these ideals upon their classmates and peers. The entire chapter looks forward to working with the new members in the future. These new seniors member of the Central Chapter of the National Honor society are: Kelly Adkins, Taylor Bienvenue, Emma Carroll, Kelly Cunningham, Rylee Ducharme, Connor Hamel, Jessica Merritt, and Morgan Tanguay, all of the Central Class of 2018.
