Women in Technology Opportunities Presented by Microsoft

DigiGirlz and International Women’s Day

 

Join us this March for a series of empowering events celebrating International Women’s Day. Join us for DigiGirlz coding workshops and for conversations with female pilots, engineers, and programmers about how computer science shaped their careers. 

 

DigiGirlz 2 Hour Workshop: Women in Coding (ages 11-18)

Saturday, March 10th 8AM-10AM

This free, 2-hour DigiGirlz workshop is an engaging interactive way for young women ages 11-18 to understand more about how the opportunities computer science and coding open up for them. They will meet a local woman who works in computer science; and find out that a successful career in technology is within their reach. They will also get a hands-on introduction to coding, creating their own project. 

 

With special guest speaker, Sima Mehri.

 

DigiGirlz 90 Minute Workshop: Women in Space (ages 11-18)

Saturday, March 17th 8AM-9:30AM

This free, 90-minute DigiGirlz workshop is an engaging interactive way for young women ages 11-18 to understand more about how the opportunities computer science and coding open up for them. They will learn about women who work in space; and find out that a successful career in Space Aeronautics and technology is within their reach. They will also get a hands on introduction to coding, creating their own project.

This free, 90-minute DigiGirlz workshop is an engaging interactive way for young women ages 11-18 to understand more about how the opportunities computer science and coding open up for them. They will meet a local woman who works in aviation; and find out that a successful career in aviation and technology is within their reach. They will also get a hands-on introduction to coding, creating their own project.

 

With special guest speaker, Rita Castonguay Hunt


The parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult caregiver of every camp participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in Microsoft Store for the duration of the event.
