Any students interested in attending the following field trip, see their counselor:

It gives me great pleasure to announce the College Access Convention. We are working with our host campus and event sponsor Southern New Hampshire University to offer a valuable resource to your student.

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

You have heard all of the slogans. College is possible; College is the best investment you can make; More education equals more career opportunities, and the list goes on. But does your student have access to the resources he/she needs to continue education beyond high school? Many of our students don’t. This day-long field trip will provide students in Manchester with the tools they need (and it’s free).

The College Access Convention provides students with increased access to information and resources to better prepare him/her for college. We have invited students from Manchester, Litchfield, Salem, Goffstown, Raymond, Concord and Pinkerton Academy who are interested in learning more about college, both 4-year and 2-year colleges and universities.

At the conference, your student will hear from guest speakers and college professionals from various
4-year and 2-year colleges across the state on a variety of topics including:

  • Admission to college: what colleges are really looking for

  • Financial aid: strategies to reduce the cost and pay for college

  • Current college students tell their story of success on their road to college

  • Various tools and resources related to college planning that they will bring home

The New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC) and Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH) are consortiums of private and public higher education institutions providing programming to improve access to postsecondary education for underserved students throughout the State.

We are excited to offer this event and look forward to seeing your student on October 13th.
