Key Club Gives Back

posted Nov 15, 2016, 11:49 AM by Central Webmaster
Central students involved in the Key Club have been busy giving back to the community.

On November 2, Key Club made Law Enforcement Appreciation Bags during their meeting to show thanks to those who serve and protect our city and school on a daily basis. The materials to make the bags were donated by a faculty member and the students assembled approximately 40 bags. The students delivered bags to the School Resource Officers and the MPD on Friday, November 4th.

In years past, Central Key Club has partnered with a community organization to help the elderly around the city with fall clean up. Unfortunately, the agency was no longer doing this project, but the Key Club decided it was an event that was not only needed by the residents of Manchester, but one that was also a lot of fun.  Key Club received a $25 voucher from Home Depot, which was used to buy rakes and they used club funds raised by fundraising to purchase yard waste bags.
