After a ten year hiatus, the faculty and staff of Central High School performed in Faculty Follies on Thursday, March 30. Thanks to the leadership of Caren Bouchard, Central staff danced, sang, rapped, and performed for a crowd of over 500 for the first time since 2007. McAllaster Hall was filled with students, parents, teachers, and community members, all of whom were celebrating true Central Pride in action. The dedication and passion demonstrated by all of Central was awe-inspiring and the show was a huge success because of all who participated on stage and off, including the outstanding audience.
Teachers and staff contributed by organizing a bake sale, designing tickets and programs, choreographing, selling tickets and advertising, managing the stage, performing, and supporting those on stage. Additionally, the sound, lights, and stage direction were all coordinated by Central students. The event, emceed by principal Mr. Vaccarezza, brought the entire Central community together for a great cause, the Manchester Police Athletic League - Michael Briggs Community Center. All sales from the event were donated to the center that serves Manchester youth including many Central students. Thanks to the generosity of the CHS community, over $2,000 has been donated to the organization.
