Central Students Sweep Peter Millimet Creative Writing Awards

Winners of the Peter Millimet Creative Writing Award have been announced by the NH Charitable Foundation, and they are all Central students.  The following were cited for their outstanding poetry:

First Prize: Cloe Dickson for "Youth" ($450)
Second Prize: Hannah Morin for "Breathing in" ($250)
Third Prize: Sama Rashid for "Torment" ($150)

In addition, there were several Honorable Mentions ($50)

Jenny Hepler for "Posture"
Emery Veilleux for "To the Girl Across the Hallway"
Liam Downing for "Apology to a Most Beloved Octogenarian"
Erin McHugh for "The Daily Intrusion of a Rude Alarm Clock"

This award was established by the Millimet Family in memory of their son Peter, whose creative talent was cut short by an early death.
